Mapusa Police informed that 450 grammes of ganja worth Rs 40,000 in the open market was found in possession of the alleged accused, Sajjan Narvekar (25).
Acting on a tip-off, Mapusa police laid a trap and apprehended the accused Sajjan along with his car near
the Landmark Super Market in Duler-Mapusa late Wednesday night.
Police booked the accused Sajjan under Section 20 (b), (ii) (a) of the Narcotic
Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 for illegal possession of narcotic
substances.
Police Sub-Inspector Kiran Naik is further investigating the case.
